A project with Tumi to re-imagine the future of luggage. I was individually responsible for the ideation, design, and prototype fabrication.

the problem with current luggage:

Luggage is clunky and incessant for the frequent traveler, the occasional vacationer, and anyone in between. When not in use, beautiful cases are ushered away into dark corners and lie empty or stuffed with unwanted items. The nature of a well-designed object is to benefit its user, yet current luggage serves as a stressor for a significant portion of its lifetime by stealing personal space.

presenting billow:

A better solution is a suitcase that disappears into nothing when not needed, staying out of sight and mind until needed. Billow has been designed with inflatable technology to answer this call. When deflated, Billow can be rolled up tightly into a minuscule percentage of its original size. A pump allows the suitcase to return to action within seconds.

A luggage with the unique ability to adapt from travel to stay, Billow is strong, collapsible, and light as air.
